About Your Psychologist

Georgina is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and holds an AHPRA Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist. She is also a Board Approved Supervisor.

What you won't see on paper is how Georgina is living and breathing all that she aims to instil in her clients. Passion for this 'work' is an understatement. It is simply a way of being. You can be assured that there is no stone left unturned when it comes to Georgina working for you to achieve your mental and emotional wellbeing goals. She thinks outside the box of the usual mainstream methods, which do not often work for everyone and emphasises the necessity for a holistic approach to mental and emotional wellbeing.

Georgina has a particular interest in neurobiology and how simple practices can change the way the brain is integrated within itself and with the rest of the body. She was introduced to mindfulness and meditation during a university placement in 2011 and has continued to deepen her knowledge and practice since that time. Georgina has participated in intensive meditation programs for her own personal development and also completed a 50 hour Yin Yoga Teaching Training course.

Georgina primarily works with adolescents and adults who experience dis-ease in emotional regulation (i.e., presentations of depression, anxiety, panic, obsessive thinking and compulsive behaviours). With regards younger children, the focus is on empowering parents with knowledge about emotional and social development to increase their capacity to help their children process 'big' emotions, while also providing the space and skills for children (from 9 years old) to better cope with their emotions.

In Georgina's personal time, she will spending time with her family and friends, playing with her little one, going on nature walks, practicing yoga, reading and listening to podcasts or online talks (which are often focused on wellbeing).
